The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all project activities related to UPS systems supplied to Oil & Gas clients. The role ensures timely execution, compliance with project specifications, effective communication among stakeholders, and smooth coordination between planning, engineering, procurement, production, test bay, logistics, and site teams.
Develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverables including budget.
Coordinate with engineering, production, QA/QC, and supply chain teams to ensure readiness of drawings, documentation, and materials.
Track project progress against timelines and escalate deviations proactively.
Prepare and manage project documentation including sizing calculations, datasheets, FAT procedures, ITPs, method statements, and other project documents as required by the each project.
Ensure all documents comply with project requirements, international standards and best engineering practices.
Maintain project folders, transmittals, and document logs in line with client document control systems.
Act as primary coordination point with client engineers, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal departments.
Support technical clarifications, respond to RFIs, and facilitate approval cycles.
Arrange and participate in project meetings, prepare MOMs, and ensure timely follow-up.
Coordinate manufacturing progress updates with the factory.
Assist in planning and scheduling Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Ensure FAT readiness and related documentation, test reports, material availability, instruments, and safety compliance.
Arrange and track punch list closure, and obtain packing release.
Coordinate with logistics for packing, inspection, shipping, and delivery to project sites.
Ensure compliance with export/import documentation for Oil & Gas shipments.
Track delivery milestones and update stakeholders.
Prepare & submit Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Procedure in coordination with site support team.
Track commissioning progress, punch list closure, and issue resolution.
Maintain weekly progress reports, delay logs, risk registers, forecast and cost overruns (if any) including mitigation plans.
Assist with project closure, including final documentation such as as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
Overall 7 to 8 Years experience is required on Power electronics out of that 45 year's experience is mandatory on UPS, electrical systems; Oil & Gas.
Strong understanding of UPS systems, batteries, and electrical panels.
Good knowledge of EPC project workflows and documentation requirements.
Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, AutoCAD (advantage).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
